About Reem Abdulghani
Embroidery Artist & Fashion Designer
As a Saudi fashion designer and embroidery artist, my work is rooted in the fusion of traditional craftsmanship and modern elegance. Every piece I create - whether a couture garment or a hand-embroidered artwork - is born from a deep respect for heritage and a bold commitment to innovation.
I believe in the power of individual expression through design. My collections are not driven by trends but by emotion, symbolism, and the unique beauty of each woman. I work intuitively guided by mood, movement, and meaning to create one-of-a-kind designs that celebrate femininity in its strongest, softest forms.
My hand-embroidery is more than ornamentation. It is storytelling in thread, crafted with French DMC threads, Japanese beads, and techniques I’ve refined over decades. I developed my signature 3D embroidery style to add tactile energy and emotional depth—each stitch reflecting a personal journey, a cultural memory, or an unspoken feeling.
Professional Foundation
I studied fashion design with a deep focus on embellishment and textile arts, which laid the groundwork for my craft. I began my professional journey in Italy, working in the embroidery department of Roberto Cavalli, where I gained hands-on experience in couture detailing. Later, in New York, I had the honor of working with Gianfranco Ferré, immersing myself in a world of refined tailoring and artistic vision.
Returning to the Middle East, I became the Head of the Fashion Department at Raffles Design Institute - one of the most prestigious art and design institutions where I mentored emerging talent and helped shape the creative landscape of the region.
My Vision
Through my fashion and artworks, I aim to preserve the soul of Saudi heritage while reinterpreting it for the modern world. My designs are for women who seek individuality, depth, and quiet strength. Women who know that beauty is not about perfection but about truth, craftsmanship, and the courage to be yourself.
Whether you discover me through my fashion label or my Breem gift and art line, you are entering a world where every thread holds meaning, and every design tells a story.
